We’re big fans of developer Jussi Simpanen’s games around here, and especially enjoyed his 2015 release Tiny Dangerous Dungeons ($0.99). It’s a Metroidvania-style platformer with one big interconnected world to explore and items to discover that will allow you to progress to previously off limits parts of that map. What I like about it is that it’s a more simplistic and smaller affair than a lot of the Metroidvanias that come out nowadays. If you enjoy it, I can also recommend its sibling Super Dangerous Dungeons (Free) which offers more traditional platforming with a SNES-inspired aesthetic. And heck, while you’re at it, you might as well play the puzzle platformer Duke Dashington Remastered (Free) and the dual-platformer Heart Star (Free) too. Just play them all already!
